This article describes how to edit a Database.
You can edit the following aspects of a Database in ActivityInfo:
- Rename the Database
- Edit the Database Design including the Folders, Forms and Subforms
- Edit the Users invited, their Roles and Permissions
- Edit the Locks added to the Database, Forms and Folders of the Database
How to edit a Database
Renaming a Database
To rename a Database, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Database settings page of your Database.
- Click "Rename database" on the Resource side pane.
- Type in the new name for the Database and click "OK" to save it.
The Database is renamed.

Editing invited Users and their Permissions
To edit User permissions, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Database settings page of your Database.
- Review the Permissions and the Locks added to this Database on the Resources side panel.
- Click on the User for which you want to change (override) the Permissions. Alternatively, click "Grant permissions."
- Tick or untick the boxes to apply the permissions and click on "Save" to save your changes.

Editing the Lock added to a Database
Locks are applied to Forms and Subforms that contain a Date/Month/Week field which has been added as a Key field.
To edit a Lock added to a Database, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Database Design section.
- Review the Locks added to this Database.
- Select the Lock and make the changes in the right side panel.
- Click "Save" to apply the edits.
