Recovering a deleted Record, Form or Folder

The following article describes the steps for recovering a deleted Record, Form and Folder via the Database Audit Log section.

You can recover a Record, a Form or a Folder that has been deleted using the Audit Log section of the Database where the resource belonged. You might want to recover the resource because it was deleted by accident for example. Or you might want to recover records in a subform that were deleted following a change in relevance rules that apply to that subform.

Please note the Database Audit Log is available to Database owners and to users granted the permission “Audit user actions”.

How to recover a deleted Form or Folder

  • In the Database List page, select the Database where the deleted Form or Folder belongs.

  • Click on "Database settings" to open the Database Settings page.

Click on "Audit log" to navigate to the Audit log section.

  • You can view the Database Audit Log in this section. You can filter the Audit Log to find the deleted Form or Folder or select the event log directly from the list.

  • Once you find the deleted Form or Folder click on "Revert" under the event's name.

  • The resource that has been recovered and the label 'Reverted' will appear next to its name. You can view more details about this event in the Audit Log side panel.
