Interactive Slicers for self-served analytics for all users

With the objective to make data exploration easier for everyone using ActivityInfo, we have recently released interactive Slicers, an easy way to drill down on the data shown on Dashboards and Notebooks.

Slicers allow all users to ask questions of the data
Slicers allow all users to ask questions of the data

When you add a Slicer to a Report, users (with access to it) can filter the Report to ask questions of the data on their own without the need to access the underlying data.

This makes the interaction with the data much easier for non technical users and allows the creation of personalized views based on their role or focus. Using Slicers users reduce information overload and can find information that matters to them quickly and easily, leading to faster decision making when needed.

It is also possible to include Slicers in published Reports so as to share interactive dashboards with external audiences who don't need to log into ActivityInfo.

In the past, it was possible to use filters on Reports but to change them, users would need to edit the Report and then edit the built-in filter to apply it to the analysis. This meant that users also needed to have access to the underlying data. With Slicers this is no longer the case.
